A good fleet-detailing program is less about one perfect detail and more about keeping a predictable standard without disrupting drivers and operations.

Start with what customers and drivers actually see

A landscaping truck, executive sedan and sales fleet do not need identical care. Build the program around the business goal. Exterior-only service may be enough for high-mileage work vehicles. Interior cabin care can matter more for shared service vans. Executive or customer-facing vehicles may justify full-detail standards.

Choose a frequency that prevents reset-level condition

Weekly service is useful for heavily used or high-visibility vehicles. Biweekly can balance cost and presentation for many service fleets. Monthly programs work when vehicles are reasonably maintained by drivers between visits. A one-time reset is useful before selling vehicles, reassigning them or beginning a recurring program.

Use off-hours to reduce disruption

One of the main reasons to use mobile fleet detailing is logistical simplicity. Great Smokey Detailing can schedule day, evening, overnight or weekend service when site access and availability allow. Vehicles stay at the property instead of being sent one-by-one to a shop or wash.

What determines commercial fleet pricing?

  • Number of vehicles per visit
  • Vehicle types and sizes
  • Exterior, interior or full-detail scope
  • Current condition
  • Weekly, biweekly, monthly or custom frequency
  • Contract length / expected recurring volume
  • Service location and time window

Volume and predictable recurring work can improve per-vehicle economics, but the lowest possible price should not come at the expense of a scope that no longer meets the fleet manager’s standard.

What information should a fleet manager send first?

Business name, location, approximate vehicle count, vehicle types, photos if available, desired cleaning standard, preferred service window and how often you want the vehicles maintained. That is enough to start a useful quote conversation.
